Take the First Step

Life can be scary sometimes. I’m not even going to lie or sugar coat this fact. It can really be scary. Things can happen that will make you want to jump under the cover and never come out again. I’m sure you can think of a few instances that may have warranted that very response. I know I can think of about 2 or 3 times that I responded that very way. Of course I think of all the precautions I could’ve or should’ve taken to prevent something like this from happening. Then I may just go on and build up my defense to NEVER feel this feeling again. Sounds like you too? Maybe? Okay! Good! You’re in the right place. Let’s dive in!

It’s easy to feel stuck after this state of existence. It’s almost like you’re caught between a green and red light. You know that feeling when the green light is “stale” and the yellow light suddenly rears its ugly head. You have two options— gun it or slam on brakes. You risk something either way. After encountering a difficult season, you’re left to make some decisions to either live or die. The easier option is to die simply because it won’t require work, effort, or determination. To live means you’ve decided to take the risk and step in the direction of healing, wholeness and fulfillment. Healing and wholeness require work. Starting another over requires work. Moving to the next phase of your career requires work.

Here’s the point. The outcome is well worth taking the first step to LIVE again! This is where a relationship with God is essential. Take that risk and make the first step! I promise God will have your back and that any failure you encounter will be working for your good. Here’s the work: TRUST HIM AND REMAIN OBEDIENT TO HIS COMMANDS. Humble yourself before Him because let’s be real—you need Him more than you will ever comprehend. Will it all make sense? Nope. 🙅🏾‍♀️ Will there be frustrating moments? Yes! 🤦🏾‍♀️ Will it be worth it? For sure!💆🏾‍♀️ I’m completely confident in the God I serve!

I’m taking the first step. Won’t you join me?
